Funding for capital energy efficiency and heat decarbonisation projects
From 1st April 2021 the England Salix Energy Efficiency Loan Scheme was replaced by the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS).
The Grant Scheme offers £1bn of grant funding which aligns with The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy new mission and priorities: fighting coronavirus, backing business, unleashing innovation and tackling climate change. The scheme will also encourage green investment, supporting the Government’s net-zero and clean growth goals.
The scheme will be available for capital energy efficiency and heat decarbonisation projects within public sector non-domestic buildings, including central government departments and non-departmental public bodies in England only, and will deliver the following objectives:
Deliver stimulus to the energy efficiency and heat decarbonisation sectors, supporting jobs.
Deliver significant carbon savings within the public sector.
The scheme allows public sector bodies to apply for a grant to finance up to 100% of the costs of capital energy-saving projects that meet the scheme criteria.
Entrust can help you to identify potential projects, design and package the final solution, then support you through the full application. Once approved, we will manage the works through to completion.
The technologies also have an immediate and positive impact on the learning environment for staff and pupils as well as benefiting from reduced maintenance costs, increased reliability, improved aesthetics and controls depending on the technology invested.
