West Midlands LABC Building Excellence Awards 2019
Entrust are delighted to have three projects nominated for awards at this year’s competition. The LABC Awards are largest business to business awards in the building control sector and recognise quality in all types of building projects.
Entrust projects nominated are:
Nomination for Best Public Service Building and Best Change of Use of an Existing Building: Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Transport Depot, Trentham Lakes, Stoke on Trent
Entrust Multi-Disciplinary Design Team lead by Project Design Mark Lockley designed £900k additional workshop facilities and office space with training rooms for the Fire and Rescue Service. The project was delivered on time and on budget, despite the challenges of working on a live site, and the client was delighted with the end result and the operational efficiencies it is now delivering. The project was constructed by our framework contractor Fords of Blythe Bridge.
Nomination for Best Educational Building: Walton Priory Middle School, Stone
Entrust Multi-Disciplinary Design Team led by Project Designer Jonathan Cooper delivered a contemporary £1.1 million extension which included a new entrance and a four-classroom block with remodelling which improved the flow of pupils around the school all to accommodate an increase in pupil numbers generated by significant residential development within the town of Stone. Challenges overcome by the team included designing for a constrained site on several levels and ensuring that the normal operation of the school business was maintained throughout the building works. The project was constructed by our framework contractor Fords of Blythe Bridge.
Nomination for Best inclusive Building: Christ Church Academy, Stone, Entrust Multi-Disciplinary Design Team led by Project Designer Beth Lees delivered a £208k dining hall extension and remodelling to provide increased kitchen and dining space to facilitate an increase in pupil numbers. The project was constructed by our framework contractor Fords of Blythe Bridge.
Our teams look forward to the event which will be held on 7 June at Telford and the winners will qualify for the Grand Final taking place in London #labcawards
