Think 2 Golden Ticket Scheme - Staffordshire Only

Staffordshire County Council is continuing their trial of the 'golden ticket' to encourage greater take up of Think 2 in Staffordshire.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has provided Staffordshire County Council (SCC) with a list of eligible families, who will now be sent a Golden Ticket in the post. They will be receiving them within the next couple of weeks.

What to do when a parent brings you a Golden Ticket:

  • If you can offer a place, accept the Golden Ticket as long as it is before the expiration date of 14th February 2020.
  • Complete a Parent Declaration form with the parent as this gives consent by the parent to share their data with SCC Early Education & Childcare Team (EEAC).
  • You must check the child’s date of birth; the same rules apply regarding funding as for the Think2 scheme.
  • Validate the Golden Ticket by contacting EEAC on 01785 278 201 before the expiration date. Or by email to eeac@staffordshire.gov.uk with your contact details and SCC will call you back at a convenient time.

Parents will still be able to apply online at www.staffordshire.gov.uk/think2 in the usual way if they feel they meet the criteria yet haven’t received a Golden Ticket this time.
